Spent fuel facility. There was some issues with a construction, and while I don’t know details, the facility is not ready to accept fuel and few things have to be rebuilt.

A French company built this facility in the 1990’s, but did not properly consider measurements. As a result, the size of the storage units was incorrect and the spent fuel rods could not fit in their proper places.

Thank you for the info. Actually, I was told that the problem was incompatible storage space. Something that french built it to their standard, not the soviet era RBMK reactors. However, when I got back to USA, I’ve checked few sites that point to some sort of contract disputes and some money issue as being the reason for the facility not being used. I’ve decided to be more neutral here
