Notice the pipes running next to the road, and a pipe over the road. These are heating pipes. Heating station sits about 200 meters from the power plant, and these heating pipes are all over the place. They are not using original heating infrastructure because it runs underground, where soil is contaminated. Any break in the system will be impossible to fix because nobody will start digging up highly radioactive soil.

This is about 10km after KPP Dityatki. Last chance to use the restroom, entry radiation scan, signing documents, and payment for services.
